2014 Great Dorset Steam Fayre

I'm determined to give this event a go next year. Has anyone been? Does anyone else fancy going? It's on from Wednesday 27 August to Sunday 31 August 2014. This will be the 46th event held on 600 acres. Entertainment includes 90 acts on 6 stages.

I saw a bit on TV about it this year and a mate of mine has been but only as a day trip and wishes he could have stayed there.

We went last year, I thought it was brilliant loads of stuff to look at!! It's absolutely huge!! The missus and kids weren't as impressed as me though! They didn't see the interest of watching a bloke mill a log on a saw that's blade was as tall as me with no guards on!!!

Worth the trip for definite!!

Next August

 

I love watching stuff like that - been to The Royal Welsh Show for years and adore that show - but I simply have to try out this one before I die!! Been to loads of steam fayres too and love the old vehicles and watching the original way of doing things = love it.

 

Yeah! It might even still be good weather (Good as in UK)

 

are you thinking of exhibiting your camper in the vintage, classic car and caravan section ?

 

I will see how the renovation over the winter months goes and if I can still afford a paint job after it!!!
