Selling due to loss of indoor storage Being registered as manufactured in Jan 1979, its MOT and TAX Exempt and insurance for us was only £110 Starts and drives - drove the one mile to where it currently sits 3 months ago - although will need trailering by winning bidder as it needs at least the brakes and sills sorting before being put back on the road South African import so solid for its age. Structurally, it will need both front steps and sills to make road worthy, the rest is mainly cosmetics. Front and rear floors seem solid (see pic). Drop sides look better in the pics than they are, bed needs some repairs as does the bottom of the rear window. I have a front panel cut to go with it, but the current one isn't too bad. Doors need minimal work. battery trays require replacing. Other than that, mainly just light surface corrosion. Please view yourself as being able to weld/fabricate, the issues I see are easily fixed - you may have a different opinion... 1600 Twin-port Engine is good - starts and runs - as said earlier drove it a mile to where it is after initially being trailered the 30 miles to my house. The Weber carb needs setting up correctly, but it does start and tick over. Engine is relatively quiet and is smoke free with hardly and end float Gearbox seems fine, but has the most worn linkage I've ever experienced. 1st, 4th and reverse are a doddle, 2nd and 3rd take a while to hunt down Interior is pretty complete. Matching seats are in nice condition as is the dash etc. I have a set of keys and all locks work off the same key Tyres all hold air and brakes work - fronts drag a little from sitting. Home made hoops are from a Land Rover defender and are included Overall, a RHD fairly solid pickup that needs saving.
