***PRICE NOW REDUCED TO £6,500 Here we have the sale of a rare VW Safare High Top Camper van. I imported this great example in from California earlier this year and it didnt need a lot of work. Original lime green over white paint with only a couple of small dents and scratches. Only rust was on the rear interior hatch near engine lid which we have welded an its had a repair put in on the bottom of the windscreen. We removed the front window and fitted new rubber. There is some light surface rust on the front step but this is easily treated. Old camper interior was pretty rough so we removed this and were going to fit a small RVTec sink/cooker unit. We haven't done this yet so its up for sale without it though we can source and fit an interior of your choice for extra money. I did have the rear full width rock and roll bed 3 pc cushions made new with foams and brown leatherette vinyl from Newton Commercial for a cost of £600. The front two seats are very cool and passenger one swivels right round though the drivers seat does have a small tear in it. The bus has a wooden laminate floor in the rear. At present there is no engine fitted, we have a 1600cc engine that we can fit if you wanted it or source and fit a 2.0l for extra cost. So far this has not been UK registered or had an MOT. We can also arrange this if need be. There is the much sought after freeway flyer gearbox though which is great for cruising the motorways. Bus has a great set of chunky wildcat tyres, these conversions were made for travelling up into the outbacks and mountains of the west coast USA. It would go through an MOT no problem. Basically we are advertising the bus for sale as is, however if you wanted us to finish it for you, i.e fit engine, UK register it,MOT, fit new camping interior then drop me a line and we can discuss further. These buses are very rare in the UK and they dont get much more solid than this one. Sleeps 2 children (or 3 small children) in the roof on 3 leatherette mattresses on a pull-out bed and 2 adults below on the rock and roll bed.
