More filler work this eve as the workshop was too busy to continue blasting the underneath. Photos are after the last skim of the eve went on.
just read the whole post again.. great progress keep the updates coming .. were still roughly at the same stage with our restos.. Ive had a break from mine while doing stuff for other folk, but been in the shed the past few evenings finishing off a few wee bits and scratching my head looking for an alternative radiator mount point for a subaru conversion. There aint many options... Looking forward to your updates .
Cheers @redoxide. Progress is slow and boring atm as its mainly just filler work currently but I did receive a photo of how my rads currently look
Few more hours of progress today. Finished making the acceleration cable tubing today and welded into place along with the new clutch cable tube. Just need to source the tubing for the wiring harness now. I then went on to make a new front crossmember to replace the old rotten one, taking into account for maximum airflow to the rads. It will be scooped also. It might look feeble but its sold and there is no flex at all.
Then gave the fresh metal a coat of etch Also tried out some paint for the bus. Had chosen a blue and cream combo but I'm now thinking I might like to paint the whole bus in L90D white
Its been designed so that the coolant has to pass through one rad, into the other then back to the engine. Very quick and rubbish drawing but u get idea. Each radiator also has its own bleed screw to help with air locks.
good job , always use a flexi number plate when filling large panels , skim edge to edge run the number plate up the panels to level it better , finds highs lows ,owen nw
haven't you finished yet looking good as always but you've not updated for a while how is progress going?
