I'm guessing it's sold ... "While you're there..." What do you make of this? Nobody seemed to notice or think it worth a mention
Are we sure that this is a factory crew cab? I saw the piece you have circled and that looks like the position of a door or panel on the other side to the door. I'm not sure the piece next to the small window and the vents look right but I'm not that knowledgeable about crew cabs so could be completely wrong.
I would say yes. That is the high level air intake - standard on late bay crew cabs. The circled area looks about the right height for the internal floor. Repair panels for crew cabs are few and far between (ask me how I know ) and microbus panels are not always the same profile. I think this might be a make do kind of repair. Stirlingmoz
That's good to know, obviously you are the man with crew cabs. I can see a seam going vertically up to the roof just behind the window. I presume this is where the door fits on LHD models.
If it is the bus I think it is ? It was owned from new by a local carpenter who then sold it after he had to give up driving due to ill health . My good friend the late Alexis Leventis ( Henley Beetles restorations) then spend a considerable amount of time replacing a large amount of the underside for the new owner . I am sure the remit was to get the underside all up together and deal with the fine tuning of the outer panels at a later date when money allowed hence the visible repairs .
I think you’re right. This is an old photo of mine for comparison I’ll take some new pictures once’s he had a wash and brush up. Stirlingmoz
