  3. Sadly I have no idea which dissy it started with as the 009 it had when I got it may or may not have been standard so I stuck to map 0. The new 123 looks lovely mind.

  6. 123ignition was one of the first things I did to my bus. Still on curve 0, my engine code (UG - any idea what 1600 this might be similar to?) is not in their documentation and it's running so well now I'm loathe to touch it, particularly as you have to remove the dissy to change the curve. The electronic advance was a major selling point for me, I cant see how an old bosch 009 can match the accuracy using spinning weights and springs, add to that varying heat and wear...
I wanted a fit and forget solution, I dont want to fiddle about with points which are not made as well today as they used to be.
Theres a vid on youtube, you can see the points and pertronix units jumping around. the 123 provides rock steady timing

  7. Everything point to this being a great product, I see there are two versions. one with vac advance and one without.

  9. Theres a third variant - one with a USB port 123tune, you can modify the advance curves via a PC and switch between two preset curves with a switch.

  12. ...and as you can hear from the above vid, a 123 will play rather cheesy guitar solos while it's working. I forgot to mention that.

I normally have mine on the "salsa" setting... :)
