10mm bolts - used to fit seatbelt....

  1. Just changed seat belts as looking manky.....

Found that the old ones didn't have sufficiently long fittings to bolt behind the inertia reel or bracket, so the PO used 'initiative' and filed a 10mm slot and used an M10 bolt: image.jpeg

To make it even more risky, they put it nice and close to the edge of the plate, which was pretty thin..... Nice!

One more bodge gone, I slightly dread each job I do as I fear what I might find!!

  2. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

That looks like a standard bracket. The slot had the end of the belt looped through and permanently sewed in place.

  3. A 10 MM bolt has a shear point of over 3 tonnes
