I heard you had a Subaru on a trailer, maybe they thought that was what you were going to dump... lol

Quad cam turbo - guess it depends on if the car is an import or not - 270bhp ish.

That, sounds worth the trouble where 150 really doesn't (too me).

    What trouble?
I just drove it in and drove it out.

  13. Mr RJES says 260hp is realistic and reliable, over 300hp is possible but makes them difficult to drive and unreliable.
I have an over geared 6 rib ready and waiting and I'm using the Scooby clutch and hydraulics.
Because it's a DOKA I have vastly less issues, with regard to intake, fuelling, cooling and exhaust, I think a side exit exhaust is on the cards, just because I can. :)
Turbo exhausts are soooooo much easier 'cause the turbo takes out much of the need for silencing, no CAT and no tuned length required.
I drove the car for 50 miles just to make sure all was well, no smoke, no rattles and went like fook!
It has been suggested that I should get rid of my stock wheels and brakes but I think it could be quite entertaining.

  14. It even has one of those dump valves that goes "ferchoo" every time it over boosts, terribly childish and very chavvy, I like it! ;)

  15. Engine is much cleaner now and is starting to look prettier.
Replacing all the rusty steel fasteners with shiny new stainless and even titanium (only because I have them hanging around).

  16. All depends on what you value. The non turbo lump will plod along at 150 for 200,000+ miles. You can get the power from an air cooled lump but there is no way you'll ever get that sort of reliability or the fuel economy
