Just signed up. Bought a Bay a couple of years ago, drove it home, realised that there was something wrong with the brakes (pedal wouldn't return) which resulted in much chassis welding, steering box leak fixing, rewiring and eventually brake fixing. Its still off the road but I am making progress. Not a resto, more to get it back as a driver. then I can think about the niceties like looks. Sorry, not the best picture ;-) Its a bit of an odd ball - got an Audi 80 engine in there. That in itself has kept me busy as I try to unravel the wiring and sort out problems.
Thanks for the greetings all. I hasten to add that the T2 had an MOT when I bought it (clearly done by a blind man) and I did spend a good hour or so underneath it poking around, and generally missed a lot of problems (so my eye sight ain't great either...). You live and learn. I'm now a dab hand with a mig and am slowly fixing its bigger problems. Hoping to get it MOTed and back on the road this summer (or I'm in trouble at home).
Hello from norfolk , don't most of them have that special 'MOT' done by a special 'garage' we have had one of those two years running no advisorys but each time cost a fortune to re MOT
Bonjour I am no expert, but the gap between the bottom of the front panel and the door is rather wide... but very nice bus...
Hi Tonyb and welcome I've been here about five months and learnt a lot . There a bunch of loonies :surprise: on here generally and will always try and help out. . They do love a piccie and smileys are always appropriate . I think most have been uncovered some unpleasant surprises (it's amazing what underseal covers . But at least you learn new skills mainly self control . And there's no such thing as a stupid tuesday_wildchild question.
