So after 3.5 months of travel and in excess of 23,000 km we finally made it back and parked up Billy bus for some well earned rest.
So after this epic journey with very reliable running my list of jobs to be done is
New brake disks as lipped and squealing / new pads
    Carb clean up
New steering box ( arrives Monday from n2 engineering )
Heat exchanger bracket to be welded up
    New fuel filter
    Oil change
    New distributor cap
Then will be ready for nc 500 Scotland Easter time

You've just done in 3.5 months more miles that I have total since I restored my bus 8 years ago.

Probably put a few miles on myself as well- van life is not a holiday for sure but met lots of good people, made great memories and experienced some new things in life during our travels -back to work now!

Plenty of smiles from our side - I think we could of produced a top gear special with all the amusing things along the way - like forgetting washing hanging off the back of van and people flashing us and we waived back saying hi on the motorway, at least 10 requests to buy the bus, nearly getting stuck in Portuguese towns with an inch either side of the bus in cobbled streets etc etc etc ….

It was strange as the only time bus did not want to start on whole trip was coming off the channel tunnel on the English side yesterday and had to flip over to my leisure battery ( I have a key system on batteries ) but voltage on engine battery was totally fine so I think it was a small protest that trip was ending and Billy bean was getting garaged soon

I spent the day at the campsite today emptying everything from the van and cleaning and repacking it - amazing what you accumulate over a trip - I threw away an entire bin liner of stuff - now all tidy for next time around with some ideas of better organisation for everything that annoyed me over the last 3 months
