Are they having a laugh with this ' due to present circumstances you may face a longer wait than usual' surely everyone is back at work now or is it a way of cutting costs by not employing more staff?

whatever it is it's very annoying!

Its because they can get away with it and they do get away with it. What is there to stop them doing it?
Its not as though theres any comeback for doing it. Theres no negative effect upon them . Lets face it were not going to revolt over it as a country ,we are all too soft to do so, even if we did the laws would be changed to stop us from doing so.
Ive said before on here that as a country we have invaded other countries for the way the government treat their people , yet we do nothing when we are treated like muck in the gutter .

you mean why’s everybody and everything not working as it was previously? Plus 25% more efficient to make up for lost productivity

Yeah but we’re talking call centres and phone line staff not aircraft driver engineers

  7. All the call centres I've had the misfortune to deal with in the last year have certainly been 'offshore' so no excessive waiting and been dealt with quite professionally to be honest. I think the problem could be an unwillingness to work in such a challenging environment for basic wage and very little job satisfaction in this country .

  9. I tend to put the phone on loud speaker and get on with other stuff. Most call centres recently have been OK without much of a weight. RAC renewal was probably the worst.

I found a little work around with British gas. As ive asked for monthly billing, but i dont get the monthly bill , each month ive had to phone up for a bill. I would say on average i am informed i am "position one hundred and twenty in the que"
Last month i phone and the same response came . I hung up but then i choose " complaints" as the option over" account enquiries" , i was then immediately third in the que.
I had exactly the same conversation with the handler as previously with accounts.
Dont tell everyone or we will never get through.

It's the result of covid ...went all still everywhere and slow apart from covid wards .
Then when back massive backlogs creating stress ...chuck in media depressing everyone with there chronic negativity ....all adds up .

... There was mention of them, without the woollen tights bit.
Something about there being no exit fee?
Not sure what "protected no claims boners" are
