Out again? Too right! An unexpected Bank Holiday in September, and it being the wife's birthday meant we headed to the Dark Peaks of Derbyshire, with the cat. Friday night was spent on the Old Mam Tor Road. It is a popular spot for campervans. You can park up at either part of the 'broken' road'. I was on the upper bit. Saturday was the big walk day. Last time round we did the Edale Loop but didn't go up top to Kinder Scout. Ended up back at Mam Tor in time for Sunset
Sunday morning, we moved over the border slighlty into South Yourkshire to stop at Redmires Plantation Car Park by Redmires reservoir. The walk was an easy one to Stanage Edge.
The cat had a great time, mainly each evening. It was just about warm enought to keep the slider open a bit.
Much easier and cheaper than sending her to a cattery. Also reduces stresses as she is always with us. She did seem to be okay on our 5 weeks away in the summer too.
