Same with blood thinners. they worked out it's cheaper for the NHS if everyone over 55 takes them. the GP even made up my weight/height etc in order to put me in a danger zone. I'm 10 1/2 st, I'd have to be 15 st for her figures to make sense. They don't expect you to check, they just want the bonus they get for getting % of patients to take them. Regarding these boosters - people will get fed up with one every few months, mark my words.
Im 55 and I've never been offered or prescribed blood thinners? I agree that booster take-up will drop if this latest strain turns out to be a bit of a disappointment ( the media are clearly hoping for devastation)
You will, just wait - any mention of anything that could be remotely connected to any heart symptom you will be. Mine turned out to be hay fever - difficulty breathing at night because... my nose was blocked up... but difficulty breathing at night was all they heard until I made a fuss at their blood thinning reaction, proved they'd doctored (sic) the figures and actually tried.
Or was it the trots with andrews liver salts ...as it was with me after the third glass .And a whole packet of liquorice pomfrit cakes to yourself is not recommended ..certainly when you are 7.
As a nipper, I used to put Alka Seltzer tablets in my mouth to see what would happen. Don't try this.
I've had my booster shot and it didn't affect me in the least. Here's a photo, taken an hour after receiving the booster, to show you there's nothing to worry about.
