me too. Presumably it’s been a hot summer so fires could spread. Apart from crap smoky air to breathe in.

  2. From Geologists and Volcanologists:

The geometry of this fault system and the timing of its formation in relation to episodes of vent opening during the eruption indicate that it is not the surface expression of a crack Instead, it is interpreted as being the first surface rupture along a developing zone of deformation and seaward movement within the western flank of the Cumbre Vieja: the volcano is therefore considered to be at an incipient stage of flank instability. Climatic factors or strain weakening along the Cumbre Nueva collapse structure may account for the recent development of this instability

Early indicators along the Pernumbic fault show divergent causality between the flank risers and the underlying tectonic carbolic numasities which is always present before the Cumbre Oldeva releases its omnipotent pyrotechtodial pressure waves. Volcanolgist in the danger zone have issues a "run" order.

Follow up tremors have been light, the lava flow is also slow, indicating the eruption is working as a pressure relief. Good news, at least for now.

  5. All the roads are blocked. By lava .It’s gonna take months to dig this out and I can get back to my place. Others lost their home. All I had lost some time in my junk sitting in an apartment. But I hope The chicken soup I made the other day on the stove it’s going to be tasty when I get back

Lets hope it slows down, limits its destruction and it becomes a tourist attraction rather than carrying on for any time.

  11. Are the looky looky boys selling lava lamps yet?

  12. No. I’m on the other side of the island right now I’ll be here for a while I guess. I’m in my car which I can sleep in. At least I don’t have to pay rent. Just waiting actually I mean it’s coming directly towards where I was living in the town next to it. It’s gonna be at least two or three months before we can get back there I believe. Who knows I mean nature and Geography have its own clock doesn’t it. Roads are blocked from the lava. And it’s still going.

  17. Yes. They let us go back down to get my things. Absolutely crazy. The place looks like there was a volcano a few kilometers away. .After we went back to my friends house and watched the show. For all the destruction and devastation. It is still an impressive thing to see. My friend took this photo below. And there’s a few more. Photos 59C6ADCE-3934-451E-9548-29CFB2A7F798.jpeg
