She made a good temp fix from a foil pie dish though.. ..

God man, get some indicator lenses Your Mrs might be able to make some out of a spaghetti stained Tupperware tub.

 

There plain ones with a orange bulb.. a bit cloudy but better that orange lenses on a blue and white bus.

Try giving them a scrub with polishing compound (or even toothpaste). Might polish them up.

I saw that in Volksworld mag. Gives you another 10hp, apparently.

 

I think I have some indicator lenses, actually several, stashed in my collection, that are more jaffa than those even though I deem them to be too faded. (and then I put jaffa leds in mine too.. )

 

Sorry to disapoint... but it's not a pie dish .. it's aluminium foil used for sticking insulation together and it'll only be on there until I get a new one next weekend at tatton...

I think I might have said 'fre bentos' when it came off though (or something like that anyway)...
