    Sounds good!
It’s a propex 2000 the blue one. I’m sure there is another prefix but I can’t remember what it is.

  2. Yep. pics are for box for underfloor fixing that heater. Bought this one along with wiring loom extension some time ago then a whale underslung one came along. I was going to modify so that the heat came out horizontally and duct into heating system but you can install straight through floor or... whatever.

Your photos appeared as I was typing. That’s the one!
What’s the story with it? Looks like a 1600 propex came out of it (the red unit) but says 2000 on the box. Let me know if you want to part with it! Could be just the ticket.

    Sorry @Dicky
I’m doing this in between parent appointments in my parents evening! I seem to be one post behind every time!
Let me know what you want for the box.
    All the best

  8. I absolutely love my propex so much so I have 2 in the van, ones connected to a WiFi switch so I can preheat the van .

This might not be helpful but if you are placing the propex on the out side, you might want to consider if it is possible to run the air intake into the van so it can recycle the warm air instead of heating the cold outside air. The closer to the roof the more efficient it is also when the heater just runs the fan once temperature is reached it will help to stop the van cooling down as quickly

My Eber in the engine bay is plumbed to recycle, I have wondered if it would cycle less if it wasn't! I suppose I could open a window.

Unlikely to be reliable and as safe as leaving it in . Choose a less clunky heater than a Propex and you would have more space.

Especially as even in August up on a hill temperatures can approach zero and you would then be preferring the heater to the whatever else is jamming up the summertime space..

Reusing the spare wheel holder space by fitting it in the engine bay may be best. If I ever do fit a heater its going under the belly pan.
