New Zealand Earthquakes

Another earthquake off New Zealand, believe it or not the production lines I'm working on are down due to the tremors. Super sensitive micro balances measuring one 10 millionth of a gramme. Makes the world seem smaller

 

We lived in New Zealand in Wellington for some years and earthquakes and tremors were frequent. Most houses were the traditional wood with tin roof which could with stand shaking and bending and on one occasion our wooden house shifted off its concrete piles due to a strong quake but we were unharmed, just lots of broken crockery and glasses.

 

Well we're back to normal now, its just really weird when it happens and ou tell new operators its due to an earthquake 15,000 miles away

What sort of things do your scales measure?

 

The drug coating on cardiac stents.

 

Similar happened a while ago when @Barry Haynes fell out of bed. Seismographs in California went crazy.

 

But the crane hire companies that were needed to get him back in earnt a fortune!

 

At one point, they were considering just blowing him up.

 

That wouldn't be a wise thing to do. Imagine the mess!

The boy is on the Southern end of the south island and was shaken awake, he says it was very strange. That's it. Over and out. I think they're pretty much set up for quakes in NZ?

 

Wow, maybe your scales measured the drug coating on the stent I had fitted about six years ago.
