Inner Rear Valance Recommendation

Discussion in 'Panels, seals, doors etc' started by Spacecowboyuk, Aug 21, 2020.

  1. As above, all the common supplier have them at roughly the same price point but are some better than others or are they all the same like rear late bay arches e.g. made by Klokker? I think the part number is 211-703-491.

Schofields and Autocraft seem like obvious choices but, again, if it's all the same, then I'll just go with whomever is cheapest.

Pretty sure they're all the same. I got mine from schofields, seemed like a good fit.

  3. That's what it seems like. Didn't know if Autocraft produced their own though? I'll drop them a call on that but it comes down to fitment so anyone with any experience of their product would be also helpful.

I think all of the products on their site that they make have the "Made in England by Autocraft" stamp next to them.

  5. Agreed. Looks like they dont make them. I guess it's just a matter of fitment then. Can't reach them via phone unfortunately.

  8. Heritage Parts version is of unspecified European origin but is of OK quality having just spoken to them. They'd fit them.

JK have stated theirs is BBT (Not to be confused with Big Boys Toys of VW Heritage fame) from Belgium but don't know quality of fitment, have never had one back (classic) and cannot tell me what the difference between 211-703-491/A and 211-703-491/B is.

    Still can't reach Autocraft.

To be fair to Heritage they did say if I was looking for very best then Autocraft is the way to go. Them and Klassic Fab are about the best in the business.

Do we get discount at Autocraft? And what's the difference between A and B?

  9. Yep that one. Hopefully I'll be able to reach them to clarify but I agree they don't have the same stamp and they do talk about getting third party stuff in as well now. Looks like it may all be from the same supplier after all.

  10. Schofields same as everyone else. So unless Autocraft do their own, which seems unlikely they are all the same, I'll go with cheapest which is Heritage:thumbsup:
