Jan and me have decided on this years main holiday. We’re driving around Eire following the Wild Atlantic Way. We’re off via Wales early tomorrow morning so I should probably get off my arse and start packing. I popped outside this morning and asked Skippy if he was ready for a 2000 mile trip and he reckoned, apart from checking tyre pressures when we get fuel, that he was good to go. I’m restarting my blog for the trip so if anyone fancies checking out our progress, or lack of it, click the ‘Follow’ button on the blog and you’ll get automatic updates. Don’t worry, there’s an ‘Unfollow’ button as well should you decide you need it.
My mother has done this several times with a small eriba caravan. She has totally fell in love with the country and the people. Made new friends and met some great people. It's on my list of things to do very soon. Enjoy.
Sounds like a brilliant adventure! Safe travelling Bob & I look forward to seeing / reading about your adventure.
Still haven’t done any packing but I have made a wooden map and some beer label coasters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I did this a few weeks back in a Hyundai i3 18 reg. fabulous trip, we loved it and the place was baking. Toll's are cheap if you use the motorway too. Enjoy
Actually, we only did Dublin to Galway, Galway to Tralee and then over to Cork and back to Dublin the first day. We went to Waterford then Cork then Limerick the next day and then we spent some time on the beach at Howth for the rest of the week. Ate and drank too much, but loved it.
Come down to Dungarvan in County Waterford. Nicest place in the country, but I am biased! Enjoy your trip.
Ye do man. Send me a pm and I’ll give you my mobile number. I can give you the best places to visit, eat and drink at. Mike
My in laws live in west Ireland so always do parts of the wild Atlantic way, from Sligo all the way down round to Galway. I’d also recommend the Aran isles, absolutely breath taking and one of my favourite places in the world!
Well we met Mike Diesedakdak, he turned up mob handed and even brought us a present. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I look forward to seeing more, as it has been some time since we went over to see family in Dublin. And we were thinking of hitting the Southwest again. Last time was in a Ford Fiesta with a 2 man tent in about 1990.
