Must be a top of range one - it has a rev counter. I had 2 in the 70s/80s. Got me to the south of France and back
Haha - yeah sounds like it - one from 76 to 82 - South of France in 81 . 2nd from 82 to 88 - S of France in 82, 83 ,84 and 85 with no breakdowns - both OK not brilliant certainly compared to today's cars - but certainly not Marmitee
It's deffo an early Marina. I'd say the fact that it has a tachometer reveals it to be a 1.8TC, The one with the B series engine from the Sherpa coupe.
Oh lord, it is a Marina, 1800 Super from the Mk 1 range (it's got the wood effect and three dials in the dash pod that makes it a Super and 1800). I don't think the top of the range TCs came in Tundra green (which you can just make out on the bonnet ) and they had a more sporty wood effect gear knob and velour seats. (As a lad I spent more time than is healthy hanging around British Leyland garage, as you can tell).
Can I go out if turn please? Even tho I haven’t guessed them yet? I’m going anyway I recently worked for a customer who had this car in her garage, I didn’t recognise the car, and had defo not seen inside one before. I now want it . The steering wheel made me think of an airplane.
It is a foreign car but not a frenchie @mcswiggs sorry for pushing in! I’m very impressed with your Marina knowledge tho
