overall both tubs are ok although both need repairs on the lower edges and just a lot of surface rust all over,There solid enough but at the same time while I'm going to the trouble of replacing other bits I'm quite happy to do these and start with fresh new panels.
Can you replace them without chopping the arches? Pickup arches aren't available so don't be to quick to chop
So I managed to remove the inner arch tub without disturbing the outer panel which is great. The not so great is that it was easy because of a previous repair to the arch. So 1 step forward 2 back! Continuing my project with the attitude ' I have no time for bodged repairs or rust for that matter' I took full advantage of Black Friday at Just Kampers and went and collected a load of panels Slowly but surely it's coming together, no deadline, just plod along!
Typical, I didn't even give it a thought to be honest! There are some pick up specific parts I'm after though . Battery tray and treasure chest outer sill?
Try A H Schofields, worth ringing cos not everything is always on their website, very helpful and they do several pickup specific parts.
Last week I rolled the truck back over and started to tackle the load bed. Was easy enough just a case of drilling out all the spot welds and then removing the folded edge. Overall it's excellent condition compared to a lot of beds I've seen any idea on what it would be worth if I where to sell it? it's just a thought, I like the idea of a new load bed on there!
I've got a new one I bought a few years back, then sold the pickup, it's available to anyone who's interested,
Ohhhhhhhhh what a tease What do you have, all 4 parts? Autocraft and klassicfab do the panels @Flakey
Yes, it's half genuine half Klassic fab, already welded together so it's in 2 bits rather than 4, it will be cheaper than either of those folks, if you can get one in this country in under 3-6 months.
