  8. besides, i think conservation, UNESCO and world heritage police would have something to say about converting it to a drive.

red car over the road has his on the "garden/drive"?

  10. 'over the road' is not part of the heritage site. Only the titus salt houses are. before those were built my house would've over looked fields and moors... now i get pat's car :/

You should buy this mower... if you're interested, PM me :)

i have no doubt it's worth a lot more than you want for it and based on what barney said above it's probably great for my needs.... but as much as my flymo isn't up to the task it of my larger gardens it will have to work until it dies - i certainly don't have £200 right now..... plus as i said i really don't like the metal roller mowers although they seem to do a better job than the rotary blade 4 wheel ones i was looking at.

  12. I might be up for this depending on how the weekend goes. I have a Briggs and Stratton deck mower at the moment but I like the look of this and should be able to sell mine on.

  13. Where in north lincs are you? Dad only brought it from there last weekend as he was clearing his shed.

  14. Is it grade one or two listed erm?

  15. The problem with the cylinder mowers id they just fold tall grass over and cut the lower finer grass
For the first few cuts of the year its best to use a rotory mower dropping the height slightly each cut
You can carry on for the rest of the year with a rotory mower
If you want to build a rich lawn of fine grass then once its down to a reasonable height use a cylinder mower with roller throughout summer
Its the scarifier attachment for erms mower that would be a massive help here
The lawn has been awfully neglected for years and is full of thatch and moss

my thinking exactly..... the grass is virtually non existent it's moss and other green stuff - it's that bad i actually let the dogs wee on it (and girl dog wee kills anything!)

  19. Mine is a self propelled rotary.........
