  2. We're going, weather has been checked - not blazing heat (or dry) first thing but rumour has it by 10 ish it should've cleared up.
Loved the show last year, met some fellow TLB ers which is always good.
Hoping to say hi again this year - does TLB have a stand like last year??

  3. Bit of a monsoon here innit.

  4. Have fun peeps if you go looking forward to the pictures

Just a light drizzle here. I don't have wellies. :(

  7. It's bloody awful here in Leicester, is it better in Stanford? Normally I'd say I'm there even if it's snowing, but I am seriously getting put off by the awful weather.

I have a short pass out, made shorter by the fact I've overslept and only just woke up! Typical, I'm usually awake at 6.
If anyone spots the tinware I need please buy it/reserve it and I will reimburse on my arrival :)

I hope the grass won't be too wet for my new over powered Coupe :)

  11. I've started building an Ark on the east coast of Notts.
Bit different from last year where I was picking flies off the front panel on getting home.

  12. Well, camping in the memorial field was ok despite the downpours and the weather by 11am was spot on, just got back, top day out as usual

Went, had a mooch and was home by 2pm.

Show seemed bigger - some very nice cars there and some amazingly overpriced parts e.g. latebay engine lids (I bought a mint one 2 years ago at the show £20) now only £145!! Second hand door for your bay sir? £345 o_O

Saw @baybirmingham and his better half and had an epic sandwich from @pkrboo , lusted after the James Dean Porsche Spider look alike in the for sale section and a notch back, chatted with the gents at the DKW/Autounion stand so was very happy and got some westy fly screens which are the first I've seen at a show in 3 years.

I like it as a show - plenty to look at and a lot of nice, informed people.

One complaint - what is it with people with small dogs simply paying NO attention to them - I saw 3 had their paws stood on, including a really cute lab puppy because their owners simply don't pay attention to them - why bring small dogs to really crowded venues?

@pkrboo was on my way back to you when the Ostrich Burgers van massive sign fell over and I am easily distracted - Bromsgrove were down to the left on the row in front of you - but they had none of the covers with them.

  15. Cool cheers, feel better that they didn't have any with them!!

  16. Glad I went to this now, thought it was going to be a wash out when I looked out of the window this morning. Having said this, I chickened out and went in the 'Beeza instead of taking the bus as I wasn't keen on having to remove a load of mud off the underside afterwards. Good to see @Moons and I think I might have spotted @zed waiting at the Poptop Kitchen for his breakfast, speaking of which @pkrboo that was a welcome cup of tea just as it was still drizzling and it kept me warm! Also went and chatted to @Chrisradioman whose bus's paint job has to be seen in person, it was very very shiny! Took no photos as I forgot my camera AND my phone - waiting to see if anyone else took a load. And as I'm about to become a resident of Warwickshire I thought it'd be a good idea to join the Leicestershire and Warwickshire VW Owners Club while I was there. :)

  17. This is never a good idea, feed back to me in six months.

  18. I had a good day there too, saw a few latebayers, realised I didn't actually want anything particular, which is new to me.

Still managed to get a piece of deluxe trim and a couple of icecreams

Just ice creams for me. And some lovely grub from the Poptop Kitchen. And a cup of tea with Dicky.
It felt good not to want any manky old bits and pieces. :)
