We've just got rid of them - flour was actually moving - aaargh. Cleared whole cupboard and disinfected it all. Just buy enough flour for what you are using at the time. Don't store it in open packets - put it in a plastic containers. They also get into other foods like dried noodles ( don't ask how I know - yuck!) and dog biscuits etc.
I find this thread extremely mite-ist. I will be writing a stiff letter to the Guardian about it, you may be sure. Mites have rights!
You're not one of these insect rights extremists are you snotty? We've all heard of those loons at PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Ants......
Not sure - Mrs cunny has pet tree frogs which she feeds on live crickets - I reckon there are some other creepy crawlies in with the crickets.
i think they eggs in flour , this pack had been out the container , but apparently we eat/all of us them all the time
^^^ I'm going to check when I get home, but I suspect that my kitchen is in a similar state - tidy, but not so clean
Apparently there are two types of weevils, big ones and small ones. The smaller ones are even said to enhance the flavour of your bread, so some people don't bother chucking the flour. It really is the lesser of the two weevils.....
I agree with zed, probably another symptom of this a"antibacterial kills 99,9% of germs paranoia" society. Some of us ate germs for fun when we was kids
