Can we start a new 'Pinned' thread in Stolen! to discuss security? I think is could be beneficial.

That could be a double edged sword in my opinion. This is an open forum and I would be very wary of talking about the security measures (if any) on my van.
For the same reason I don't think it would be a good idea to discuss any vulnerabilities in van security (if any) on a forum that anyone can read.

Indeed, but not to discuss individual specifics, more really to discuss what's currently available within the marketplace.

    Here you go:
    Alarms
    Immobilisers
    Wheel clamps
    Steering wheel locks
    Pedal locks
    Fuel shut-off solenoid
    Locking gear-shifters
    :D

  8. And here are the various 'products' rated.

Its all down to personal choice, including how much money you wish to spend to safeguard your bus. Some people will be happy with one of those electrical cut off switches others will want more.

So pleased you've got her back.
Some similar toerags knicked my Midget in 1992 - I still look at everyone I see and wonder if it's mine with a respray and ringed - at least you've been spared this form of OCD...!

  12. Gees...and it still got pinched. I think i'll leave mine unlocked and get a tracker...and a baseball bat...

  13. Just catching up on recent threads, great news to hear she's been found. I recognised the yard in your first post so felt it very close to home.
