I wont be going any bigger than 15 inch
If you did then you have to cut down on profile and thats going the wrong way for a rough track bus
Id be happy with 14s if i could get the larger profile tyres the yanks have available
I think splits had 15 inch wide 5s but they were very narrow so you may struggle to get tyres

 

You cant bash an alloy back straight with a lump hammer

 

I like the narrow tyre look.

It's probably been done to death but what are the limitations on 14 inch wheels then? Is it the rim width or just the size?

 

No idea. 15" isn't much different really, it would be 1/2" higher from the wheel. Then whatever the tyre might add - another 1/2" or 1"?
Maybe it does need a lift.

 

I love the look. Would love to have the rear arches done ie front arches on the back , a slight lift and a couple of inches on the tyres.

 

Narrow tyres are better at sinking through the muddy slop on top and grabbing whats below
The thing is finding that narrow all terrain tyres in the uk

 

Not sure I'm keen on too fatter tyre, I like them in the arches.

 

Having said that, I've changed my mind about the arches, you're right Dicky. This one from earlier is my favourite by a country mile.

 

Think that's lost the rear corners up to the battery tray by the looks of it!

 

Its a yank bus nuff said they are still cheap over there and they dont care about bashing them or cutting them

 

I'm with you on that. Not even sure it's raised much if at all arches done possibly banded rims and big old tyres. Love it.
