I think someone will most likely pay more than its "worth". Its not a split, its a customised South American (style) bay window. I think the market price might be higher than the valuation price. That said theres nothing to compare it to. Perhaps there maight be a few more knocking about. I'd deffo consider one tbh but when it came to the crunch would I spend the money on a bay or an actual split!!
I know what I think they're worth and pretty sure based on Bay prices what I could sell one for. No gambling involved. I was more curious to think what Bay owners think they're worth
To be honest I would think they are worth less than a standard bay restored to a similar standard. How much are you putting it up for then, Im curious too?
If youve a price in mind then let us know when you do decide. Likely there will still be a heated debate regardless of where you pitch it.
I know. It's a tough one. I know I couldn't pitch it to splitty fans as they'd curse me but bay fans might think it's too high because it was a bay
I think your market is probably scene -buy - ins rather than those already in the "scene" ie- someone that wants one of them nice - cute campers with the split screen ...etc. Im not being patronising as id have one knowing exactly what it is but not for daft money. Think what you paid is probably a bargain if the works good. Think If I was going to the guy that supplied you id be after a restored bay off him though if that says anything!
To me it's worth a fair bit less than a bay in similar condition, mainly because bays are at the top end at the moment. As @Dicky says, it'll be worth more to someone who doesn't know what they're looking at....
Funnily enough, so am I Ive not seen your around in them (yet) but if you see a black Audi A3 flash, its me!
Kirkby Woodhouse for us, I pass through South Normanton regularly on my way to/from work - indeed I will keep a look out
