Those new Transits look nice, a bit T5 ish, I reckon there's gonna be a few made into campervans very soon, Watch out for them at Camperjam folks
We saw some of the Transit conversions at the Motor home and Caravan show at the NEC weekend just gone. They were good conversions, but they weren't that much cheaper than the T5, and to my eyes at least, the use of space was better in the T5s we saw.
I have one as a works van and they are awesome in comparison to vans of old Only criticism is no matter how you drive it, it only gets 33mpg which is less than my old transit could, we don't carry much weight around either.
A guy at work has a middle-aged Transit and its just as rusty and frilly as a Bay for all the same reasons. (White Van : life span = 3 years + 2 years falling apart)
Excellent video I was using a transit in recent job and have to say thought it was brill with cup holders, storage places for paperwork, hands free etc. and it drove alright too.
The Tranny looks like a Starwars storm trooper if you ask me! I always remember my MOT guy marvelling at my old T4 van (1998 model) used to pass every year! 'See that' as he showed me underneath in the inspection pit, a 3 year old Ford Transit would be rusting and falling apart, this thing is perfect underneath!
Still got the traditional shelf below the windscreen for collecting empty fag packets, last weeks Sun, dirty mags, just working next door notices. etc. etc. As for the van itself...yes I quite like the look of it...even if the nose profile looks a bit like a Datsun pressing.
