Well - that was the 3rd techenders that I mooched up to, and the 1st I actually stayed at for more than an hour, I suspect bringing the van for the 1st time helped.

Impressive array of vans (appreciate there has been bigger gatherings, not one I've actually witnessed) and a diverse array of curries (thank you mr and mrs @paulcalf for organising the curry run).

Nice to bump in to some old faces and meet many new - also learnt not to sleep with head at bottom of slope - can't say I remember what the last kip felt like in this van, it was 30 years ago!

Apologies for quick exit, I was 'Pig Pen' to @rickyrooo1 's 'Spider Mike'.

Nice to see Lou and thank you to 'Mr Waterbed' for organising the event.

Just back in from our very first techenders and what a brilliant weekend it was. We met lots of old friends again and made a whole load of new ones. Trouble is my poor old brain has trouble remembering all the names, especially as everyone has a forum name as well as a real name. I obviously don't include @Angela in this because she's kept the whole 'name thing' much simpler.
I'm not sure if I mentioned to anyone how pleased I was with my new 'level' poptop but just in case I missed anyone....I'm really pleased with my new 'level' poptop.
We also like to give @davidoft a massive "Thank You" for very kindly sorting out our sliding door for us.
Thanks as well to @rickyrooo1 for organising it for everyone and put us down for techenders in April please.

Note - 50mph roadworks speed limit.

Note 2 - I had to get out of the way of that lorry what was on my arse when I was behind you.

Note 3 - you would have gone past me even quicker had you adopted a more aerodynamic position and folded in your mirrors :)

  17. Slightly disappointed that there is no photo of me working, I got loads done. ARB fitted, changed handbrake cable, rose jointed the throttle linkage and @pkrboo and I fiddled with the rear brakes. My wife might not believe I did anything except drink! ;)

i did have all intention of taking pictures as i'd planned a lazy time but my rear brakes were a bit of a pig, mrs roo took most of the above pictures.

  19. So we're on our way back after a great weekend (big thanks to everyone who helped us) but we are in a sticky situation. Got as far as Keele services on the M6 and noticed and off noise and a LOT of oil coming out. Stopped to let it cool down then topped it up and gave it a whiz to the next services where it promptly spat a wok (technical method of catching the oil obviously) load of oil back out. Had a good look and the oil cap is missing!
    AA hopefully on the way.

  20. Very clever what you did with he top photo.
Looks like you all had a great time.
