With the garage, garden etc? Seems like a snip to me, though the position ain't great.

Ahh you've added an extra zero! Tat's silly money, no way will they get that for it, they're just chancing their arm in case a brain donor comes along. If that one in that position is £400K mine must be worth £1M and it ain't.

  2. The estate agent called today about the cottage

The owner of the property is willing to drop the rent £50 each month if we carpet and decorate
My father in law has said tonight he will sort the carpets for us

Im going to call tomorrow and accept:)

I think im going to do a mini thread on sprucing the place up as ive always liked following yours and LEFS house renovating posts
Then with ermintrude at it aswell of late it could be good fun

Its going to be a fair whack of work and effort and time away from the paravan but im looking forward to it

Well if you do it with same level of detail ive seen you put into the paravan it'll be a great job done( and if i was your landlord id then increase the rent as the place would be nicer) :D

But carry on with updates not stop halfway like me.

  12. Deposit has been payed and were moving in at the end of the month
Thats if the kitchen has been fitted by then
Were going up sat to start cleaning and prepping for paint

Do you need to use some sort of primer over fresh plaster before paint?

  13. I've always watered down some white emulsion 50/50 for the first coat to soak into the plaster:)

  14. Yes. I can't remember what it's called. It's the paper glue that kids use. Buy it in 5 litre bottles from B&Q.
Unibond ! That's it I remember now. Water it down 50/50 and put it on with a roller.
