If you choose to go it alone we don't want any drunken texts in a few months time saying what a huge mistake it was Yours England
Hope they dont want their record collection back! Well actually Im not listening to Jim Kerr , the Proclaimers or the Bay City Rollers anyway!
it does amaze me that (example) a polish man who's lived there 3 months can vote, yet a scot who was born there can't. i don't really know what difference it will make to me if they go, i've only been twice (on the train) and the closest i got to getting on scottish "soil" was jumping off at edinburgh waverley for a burger king.
Voting yes is all about having a chip on your shoulder. Some deep seated resentment about something that happened before you were even a sperm cell. I'd be happy if all Scots voted yes and crawled back over the wall, then when the 'new' Scotland goes to Marmite we can all have a good laugh. If the United Kingdom isn't good enough then join the rest of idiots that chose to be here yet slate it at every opportunity and ***** off back to your own county.
A country isn't about birth or race, it's about wanting to be there and contributing to society. At least the Pole is (probably) working, paying tax and spending in Scotland.
I think the No campaign assumed that it would be fought over Banacburn or whatever it was called, and have failed to give those in Scotland wanting to make an educated decision the information they need. In the absence of information, I guess they choose not to vote, leaving it open to the emotive arguments. I notice no one has gone near the 'and what if it doesn't work' scenario, and Dave and his mates have stayed well away. This leads me to conclude that they want Scotland to go, thus clearing the way for SuperLondon to surge dragging the rest of GreaterLondon (the rest of England, Wales and NI) with it.
Oh yeah...the fact that most here seem to refer to the remainder of the UK as England e.g. English import duties kind of explains why others want to go I guess.
