I have two bathrooms, one above the other. I always smile when my mate is showering and I'm having a poo - my toilet is right over the shower! :) Childish - moi?
rain. excellent. there is no window in the bedroom, only a stripped frame. bugger. ...and vanorak is having the first ever shower in the house so i'm going to eat his tunnock tea cakes!
PS You need an opening window in the bathroom, or you'll go mouldy. Mr V will be pleased to fit one for you, I'm sure.
that window has been the bane of my life recently....there was no window board or anything solid to attach it to...plus the guys that did the plastering must've been wearing blindfolds when they did it....the whole room is absolutely unsquare in every dimension, especially the window aperture....so i've had to put 'false' reveals in and build up the base with cement for the window board....the paneling has been a exercise is patience and scribing, as non of the walls are straight relative to one another.... anyway, all done apart from a bit of painting.....looks pretty good in real life....
Nice bit of T&G-ing anyway. I did both of our lavvys/bathroom with it. Not sure what Ms Trude painted it with, but Sadolin used to do a kind of wood-wash that looks really good on T&G - kind of semi-distressed. They don't seem to make it any more...
My summerhouse is the exactly the same! - the same matching, the same dado, the same colours above and below. I must have good taste.
Thankfully the rain stopped for the day to work on the window frame. Lots of wood hardner and filler later, I've finally got the first coat of primer on. Will try to get it caulked and another undercoat on before I collapse into a sawdust filled bed (no, there's nowhere else to sleep)... Hopefully.
