I was going to order a Butty's Bits linkage because my pedal was sticking badly. I looked under the cab and was surprised to find this mainly as the van is a late bay. This is an prototype bay linkage is it not? Is this why the pedal rod is off centre? Confused.
Hmmmmm, still possible as it may have been made earlier. @poptop2 is the expert on early lates but that is defo the same as my 72 cross dresser. How is the joint attached? (Non pedal end) I can't quite see from the photo. It looks like something has been bodge welded in place. If you're good with a drill I can send you the bits to make it slack free. Like this.
Another one for @poptop2 I think That's an early pedal mech and it looks like a factory part as well. I guess they must have changed to the later linkage part way through the '73 model year.
Here's the non-pedal end of the assembly. Bodge job? @Top Banana Racing I'd appreciate it if you could send me something to keep the play at bay. How much are you looking for and I'll PayPal you.
Yep that's definitely Early/Crossdresser. Not a bodge, proper OE. PM me your address and I'll make you one up.
Different to mine, mine is dec 73 but I have a adjustable screw stop on mine lhd will take picture when it stops raining, Spoke to butties bits at aircooled 14 was going to buy throttle kit but he said dec 73 was on the border some late some early so told me to go home and look at throttle then let him know. Mine is the later one, Steve,
