Ive just got a set of coilovers so i thought i would put up a few pics of my daily before i lower it Shes a tatty old girl and thirsty but she has treat me very well over the years
It was cheaper to buy the coilover kit than it was to buy one new spring from vw I had an mot fail on the snapped spring and my dampers are the originals from new so pretty tired
So why not get standard stuff from local motor factors? Of course VW would be expensive. I bet for 1 corner at VW you can do 4 from a motor factor
Because they dont do the spring fitted to the sports model only the standard length springs and standard rate dampers
Engine/gearbox raise, custom subframe, extra thick sump plate and bobs your relative of some sort... Hell, as you're going to that kind of effort you might aswell just bodydrop it..
