Afternoon. Got my '77 Van back from Milk&2 after having a Slamwerks Beam & T2D dropped spindles fitted.
My advice would be do it exactly how you want it first time. I first of all fitted the red 9 design 4" drop coilovers. I liked it but still wasn't quite what I was after so I then got the 5.5" kit from them. The bus had a good stance but still wasn't how I wanted so (luckily) a mate came up with a pair of original T2D dropped spindles, so I got a Slamwerks beam & had it done. Wish I had of done it in the first place. But I thought I was saving £££ by doing what I did.
I nearly bought the coil overs you sold on here, they went before I could pm you. Never mind, lizzy is gonna be a long term ownership!
Needs a bit of tweeking with clearance but the handling is even better than before. I'm really happy with it.
Cheers for all the positive comments & messages. I'll get some footage of it (hopefully tomorrow) can't do it today as I'm still recovering from last night
Looking good fella, you're right in saying plan it all out and get the best you can afford, it's worth it in the long-run...doesn't make the initial hit to the wallet any easier though! I too have the slamwerks beam, spindles etc. I've also tubbed it and notched the chassis front and rear...helps with clearance issues.
Love the look of your van Ade. Was saying to Brian Thompson about it. May need to pick your brains in the next few days.
