I did yes! Thanks for asking.....in case you're wondering what oil I used it was Phillipo Bertolli SAE 15s....
My recollection is that baysearcher took his bus to fellows for some steering work but as it took so long they did a subaru conversion as well to justify the wait....think that's what happened...?
i know a few people on here dont think the red 9 design front end is that good for the money, but i think it was worth every penny light steering straight steering and i can have the van at what hight i want without problems its worth thinking about just for the steering
I suspect it's that process where most people shag their steering coupler up, especially a unit from Brizzle such as @Baysearcher
I used a flywheel puller on mine, nice and easy lemon squeezy! This is after the hernia and dramatic Russian Power lifting impressions of the day before. Don't mention the kettle trick. Dirty word in this house.
Hey don't dis the Bristol's even if it is @Baysearcher , even a biff like me managed to get my steering wheel off easily breaker bar ftw....... It was about a year ago but.......Emmm See my thread on steering issues ,maybe I did shag up the steering coupler lol
This remains my only positive contribution to this site: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/steering-coupler-how-to-change-one.24941/#post-414711 You can see the coupler from underneath if you need to inspect it.
I just call it retribution for the time he threatened 'I'll pull your Achilles' tendon out- i know how!' - we were very, very drunk.
If I remember correctly that was about a nano-second before you wrapped a 4cell mag lite around my face?
I asked a lot of questions to people who'd had it done, and went to Fellows 3 or 4 times. I went out in 2 converted vans. It was spanking a T5 Sport-Line off of a round- about that finally made my mind up. Then I just drove it there and handed over the keys. I'd do it again tomorrow if I had another bus.
Surprisingly for you it was a very sensible approach to making the decision. The conversion they do is impressive and it goes like a stabbed rat.
