  1. Does it come with wheelie bars? :p

  2. Only 130hp or so.
Can be tuned to 500+ though.

No it's american so only 80hp but sounds impressive and runs on pee-pee.

  4. I thought you had a plan for it

Ha-ha - I was guessing and double posted with you.

  6. :D:D:D:D:D:D

  7. I now have the choice. Type 4 air cooled 1910cc or 3.8 water cooled.
I'm happy to build my own and leave the Buick motor at the back of the Garage but if someone wants it...........

  8. They could beat Keith's meagre Ford and have exclusivity! ;)

    I could so I did.
Fairly simple to understand I'd think?

  10. what concerns me is the fact that people fit some pretty tasty motors in buses and don't necessarily address the crap handling/stopping issues to the same extent....
The first car I did was a stripped out 1380 mini....with drums all round:eek:
went like sh*t, but not the safest thing to drive on a public highway....

Subaru threads should join Wizard and MAC threads. I.e never be mentioned.

  12. :D
    Educate me...what was/is MAC thread?

  14. I appreciate all the engineering that goes into engine changes but there is something for me that's missing . Sure I could spunk 6 k getting someone to fit me a Subaru engine or more if I wanted Porsche bragging rights but its a bit samey .
I'm on the fence , I'd love to stick a TDI lump and box in a bus or a monster ******el

I pop the Subaru engine I can buy a car with a full history for £500, take the engine, sell any bits worth something and weigh in what's left.

    Engine cost £200 maybe.

The initial conversion costs a lot...after that toasting engines costs bugger all, so much so why bother fixing it?!

Taking it in and out is a bit more involved, but not tons more involved, and I can move to a 200+ quad cam by swapping the wiring loom and engine out.

    What's not to like?!

Given the first three feet of my friends old RX7 exhaust glowed red after the manifold...your exhaust would look like a light sabre at night.

    Me want!

  20. What's a vw lump put out?
Mine was 117 bhp new, so I'm guessing a fair bit less now
