Then won't there be a plate somewhere, behind the seat, under the dash? There will still be a chassis number hard stamped in the engine bay surely?

there will still be a chassis number for a close idea of manu date, just no m-plate for despatch spec's etc. landrover did the same.
The plate will be for the compliance to ADR27A (Australian Design Rules) Chassis number is stamped in the engine bay
It's only 20 euros if you want a letter, put it in the notes box on the fill in bit, they charge you 50 as you put your card stuff in, few days later when they process it you will get a 30 refund. The certificate is good but if your only wanting it to show the Dvla then the letter Will do.
TC is a 72 but he's been SORNED for years anyway. Red, on the other hand, is a 75 so my fingers are crossed really tight that it's gonna be a rolling exemption like it was originally but I'm not holding my breath for 2 years.
