WANTED Super Viking in good order!

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by Olly the Ozbus, Sep 13, 2013.

  1. Hi folks,

I just said hi over in the general chat but hello again- I'm on the lookout for a Super Viking with original interior as the Spacemaker roof will be perfect so we can all sleep in the roof and I suddenly seem to go weak at the knees at the thought of having an extractor fan and removable cooker! Not fussy on year but must be based on a kombi/microbus and not a converted panel van and have the 6 berth configuration:) Type 4 or type 1 motor both fine.

Bodywork is key and it must be in good shape, preferably with any restoration work backed up with photographs. Interior would preferably be OG and all there but so long as the roof and bunks are present then this wouldn't be the end of the world...

So, what have you got- I'm in no mad rush as I'm determined to hang out for the right bus but I do have a healthy budget ready and waiting. I'm based in Cambridge but often am in Shropshire and the Midlands and will travel for a good'un:)

Cheerio for now, let the Viking hunt begin!

  2. I have the original interior out of mine, that I now don't need as going for a full refurb. It doesn't include the bunks though as they are still in the roof. There was a good Super Viking van for sale in Durham a couple of weeks ago around the £6,500 mark - was on LateBay and Ebay. May have gone now though.

  3. Cheers dude, probabably should't though without a bus to put it in! Yours looks a cracker though and you're in safe hands with Zed:) Pretty sure that bus sold and luckily for me was a originally a panel so I won't be kicking myself as we'll be needing plenty of belts in the back so I'm told:eek:

Hope all goes well with kitting our your new bus...I got roof envy!

  4. Good luck and worth waiting for - Super Vikings are def out there, and do pop up from time to time so you just be ready to pounce. Let me know how you get on....

  5. Still looking folks, and getting itchy feet for some rooftop sleeping:)

  6. Presumably you have already considered the one for sale on here,I know the seats aren't og and all but still looks very nice. I say this as an owner of SuperViking ,pics in introduce yourself posted by hubby Jernau or something like that. Any way very good luck on your search ,extractor fans are cool ,hope you find exactly what you what. Mines probably converted van, never really given it a thought mind .

  7. Cheers folks, I did see that one and looks a good honest bus- sadly wasn't a factory-windowed one though so I'm hanging out for a while longer:thinking:

You had any joy with ya search Paul?:)

  8. It's gone on the back burning, house need few minor improvements, so just waiting for the ideal one!!
