Hello everybody, new T2 owners here. We've just picked up a 73 (mostly) Westy interiored camper. We like it. We like it alot! I have a T4 as you can see in the pic but we're new to aircooled. The missus has wanted one for years. We'll be doing a bit of pootling around in him - oh yes it's a he....we've called him 'The Bruce' - and some camping/music festivals mostly without the 4 kids (as two are 14 and we thought not that bothered about camping....though having got the thing home last weekend there was lots of interest from them!). Watch out for lots of daft questions from me...'how does this work?' 'why does this happen' 'who's got one of these'...etc etc! Hope to see some of you at meets etc if not this summer, definitely next! Cheers JC&T *edit* can't upload bl00dy fotos...willl try later
Hello mate Use photo bucket for photos How to here: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/how-to-post-photos.115/
Baysearcher: tried that but kept getting error...perhaps it was size that was the problem. Oooer, missus! Will try and shrink it
Haven't used them but there's supposed to be a brillant place on the meadow lane industrial estate in Alfreton, family of carb-heads and massively into their VWs http://www.peter-burgess.com/
Not heard of them can't find them on tinter either... Have committed to service at Deaddubs now, will report back. Seem really good guys. I went to school with one of them...don't mean owt tho! I don't know him well (a bit older than me!!)
If you're paying someone to service your van you need to head to Techenders in September..... http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/techenders-lutterworth-sep-13-2013.23271/
I did notice this on the forum last week, one of the reasons I thought this forum looks so good - v friendly plus this! Hence joining! Would love to come...had years of 'working' on vespas and Lambrettas...however 20 odd years of not mechanicking as had modern cars etc...plus no tools any more really.... Anyhow, sure we will come and pick up info at the very least...
Don't worry about tools if you haven't got them. There's always plenty that can be borrowed, then you'll learn what you do and don't need.
