Flatford Mill (Constable country)

    Found this place by accident really (see The Strangers Home thread) but it is a really nice place to visit. Parking is only £3.00 and there are lots of walks as well as the river and a John Constable centre. Not sure of any campsites nearby but it is such a picturesqe area that there are probably loads.

  7. I have fond memories of this area as a kid. A lot of the areas were painted by John Constable as you have mentioned hence its title of 'Constable country'. I remember fishing just under that bridge as a kid and every time I stuck my hook in in the water, a fish jumped on it. The keep net was overflowing after a couple of hours !

    Somewhere on our 'places to visit' list now.
