Best awning to fit T2

i have just got delivered today some suction clamps from just kampers they look good lets hope they do the job as i like the colour and hope it will be ok now

Found this on Jackson's Liesure Supplies.£289, looks like updated them as mine Traveller 2, this Traveller 3, apparently they have a curved roof now, hope some help to you,

Try pole and clamp - it's better for staying attached to the van, and you don't get the leaks that you do with fig 8.

 

How do they work chap?

 

The awning skirt often has a sleeve on the end, near the piping for the figure 8, that you can feed a pole into. You slip the pole into this sleeve, and put the pole and sleeve inside the gutter on the van. You then clamp it in place with spring clamps - I found that the type you can pick up from markets and pound shops will do the job, as long as the spring in them is nice and strong. Like these:



If you get a pole and clamp kit from awning suppliers, it often comes with spring clamps like this:



Either is good enough for the job.

This type of system means that the awning skirt is more firmly attached to the van, and can't work loose like it can with figure 8 strips.

 

i just got suckers fromjk but will not stay on my roof as it is not flat by dormobil roof , i am asking to send themback

 

we put the awning up properly in the sun with no wind it is fine now
