I fixed my grandmas to do the curtains for our van, it was easy to fix needed a new cog, but it has to be re timed to make sure the needle and spool move at the correct time that was the difficult bit!!
yup, timing seems to be the issue with mine. May have to get the overlocker out but the way my luck's going today that'll explode into a fireball and take my eyebrows off. maybe.
if only! sewing machine repairers are always really grumpy old blokes who seem to hate their jobs, but i've never been charged any less than a whole hour.
That seems about right. Thats why I'm glad my dad sorts my machines. But no before you ask he doesn't do other people's machines. It's because he loves me.
he could grow to love me too! i'm so bored without my machine, had planned a weekend of sewing but the sewing machine gods clearly had other ideas *harrumph*
Not much to you where you live but i know a bloke in Glastonbury who fixes industrial sewing machines , just bear it in mind if you ever go that way with your machine Ermintrude
tried to make curtains the other day for molly...got all the bits then looked for my mums sewing macvbhinge....couldnt find it so alas...no curtains waaaah x
may have to liberate my mums machine from lincolnshire if this repair takes too long what fabric did you get?
blue with pinky flowers on... haha you could if i ever find the bugger... boohoo needed them in for next weekend too ...
There's a place in Gainsborough that's quite cheap, or was when they fixed ours anyway. Edit: Seweezy
