Hi I normally avoid buying non original parts for this very reason these 15 inch mag wheels from heritage won’t fit flush on the rear drum but are supposed to be straight fit without a spacer. Anyone had similar issue, waiting for Heritage to respond. Annoying as put new tyres on them now should have tried wheel on hub first…. Even taking the 2 hub cover bolts off still won’t sit flush? Any ideas? Thanks
Think op may have already removed securing bolts. Perhaps removing drum and placing it in wheel may show what the problem is…. or there just might be one position that it will sit flush. edit …. too slow typing.
Have you tried bolting the wheel on. It maybe the steel centre plate of the drum that's a bit warped and pulls flush when bolted up. Just a thought. Also remove the balance weight just in case.
Do you have a micrometer? Worth a measure up .When we get wheels refurbished they sometime overpaint the centre hole and a bit of energy cloth cures this .Alernative try putting a different wheel on the other side or on the front .It's a case of slow elimination .
Does anyone have a pic of the rear drum without that weight or do they all have them? Also probs going to have to swap the studs also, 7 turns on the threads is maybe not enough?
Leave the weight on .Try a wheel on the front or the opposite side on the rear .My money is the wheels centre's are not big enough
Put a thin smear of silicone or paint on the base of the stub just before the brake drum ...then offer the wheel up and see if the marks stop before the drum . I wouldn't alter the wheel incase it is the fault and you won't get your money back
You can see the damage to the wheel where you have done it up tight and not removed the two M7 bolts holding the drum on
Tried the other side hub doesn’t have a balance weight on it and definitely needs a small spacer. Heritage do 3mm ones going to try them. Yes so wheel centre slightly too small. Thanks
Surely if the wheel doesn't fit over your hubs then they are not fit for purpose? What about the other wheels are they the same.
