Never seen singles sold. Best bet is maybe contacting an engine builder and see if they have left overs
They do pop up on Ebay occasionally , if you're not in a rush ... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Thing is - most times somebody trashes a piston /cylinder, people just buy and fit a set of four: Because The other three are also now used, so those are replaced too. You may have to accomodate manufacturing tolerances where the older P&C were made by e.g. Mahle , and you cannot source Mahle replacements for months but you can get AA which may be slightly different in height from base flange to cylinder head, so all four get replaced. In my collection of things, I have four somewhat scratched up 1641 Mahle P&C from when I replaced them because of blow-by years back . And three quite good AA 1641 P&C from when I melted a piston. Each time, I replaced all four.
The three barrels and pistons i have are brand new ,came with a load of parts with a beetle i bought ( no idea why there would only be three) that the reason i dont wanna buy a whole set
Nice I understand why you just want the one but it would probably be better in the long run to buy a new set and sell the odd ones if you're planning a 1776 ?? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Cause someone bought a whole set cause they buggered one cylinder by dropping a spring down the throat of dual Webers That’s what I did years ago, but that was in the days there were spare barrel’s everywhere
