Doctors planning to reduce working hours to 9 till 5. I’m sure they don’t do that many hours anyway. Certainly not GP’s.
They don’t do that many hours anyway? Must be a cushy number then. Makes you wonder why the NHS is haemorrhaging GPs if it’s not many hours. My son’s a GP, I’ll ask him as he’ll probably know a bit more about this than you and I.
I feel sorry for the pupils that go there. I know several teachers, some are friends and some are family members, and the levels of stress they are put under and the hours they work is insane. One of them, a headmaster, works also on the weekends, and he's had two heart attacks because of it.
As I said not ALL are like that but that is the trouble with society (people) in general. They tend to be self centred & too worried about what’s in it for them. I understand that they are there to ‘teach’ but when they are stepping over rubbish in their doorway instead of putting it in the bin or getting the heads of year to instil discipline rather than doing it themselves then there is little hope.... Although saying that, the kids are just awful & most of the time don’t want to even be here.
What's the point in doing more hours than you are paid for? The British are pretty stupid when it comes to career martyrdom. Chas n Dave had the right idea. Only Fools and Horses Work......
Bin men lazy? Not a job I'd want to do and they, just like posties, carried on working when everyone else was hiding from Covid. Ask yourself what would affect society more if they stopped working - 10,000 middle managers or 10,000 bin men?
Lazy LAZY workers won’t walk 10 yards to get the WHEELIE bin if it’s not put out at the end of the path or move it if it’s a little bit heavy even though my then 8 month pregnant wife had put it out for them..... so yeah LAZY!
My local Tory run council??? What do you think? As much use as a chocolate fire guard.... They are good at one thing though.... collecting their overpriced council tax!
So your heavily pregnant wife is majorly inconvenienced, put at risk even, but you don’t tell them about it? I don’t get that at all. We have a Tory council too. Wouldn’t stop me telling them about this if my loved ones were put at risk.
The huge wagon the binmen use wont get up the track to our house, so we have to use bin bags instead of wheelie bins. We leave the bags just outside our gate and the binman has to carry them down seven uneven steps, through a kissing gate, across a railway line and through another kissing gate to reach the lane where the lorry can get to. In winter it's pitch dark and one of the bags is full of heavy ash from our stove. I would hardly call them lazy!
another popcorn thread! I watch the bin men run down our street during rush hour, which i assume is to reduce the inconvenience to other road users.
