Todays travel to work.. The Levellers, Levelling the land Live Journey home, Motley Crue Carnival of Sins
I would be listening to my new 'remastered in proper dolby stereo' by Giles Martin vinyl copy of The Beatles 'Revolver'.... except the postman decided not to leave it in my Safe Place, and to take it back to the delivery office instead.... which doesn't open until 8am (when I start work) and closes again 2 hours later (when I am at work). Bah! Looks like I'll be dragging myself out of bed early on Saturday
Can’t you re arrange delivery on the post office website these days? I don’t know if you can tell them where to leave it though.. might be worth a look
I might be able to get them to drop it at the post office (which stays open til 5pm, and I might just make it in time after work.....) or I could just be patient and get up early on Saturday...... decisions decisions. At least they didn't leave it on the doorstep in the rain...! Edit: soonest redelivery or delivery to the post office is Saturday anyway..... patience patience!
And any thoughts? Not entirely sure I see the point if I’m totally honest. I’ve been listening to this for decades and I’ve always loved it so I wonder what I would gain? ps, Beatles haters…… SHUT IT!!!!!
It's done so people can listen with their iPod ear buds I reckon. Anything hard panned sounds weird in headphones.
I think it’s probably only the 2nd ‘new’ vinyl album I’ve ever bought, the 180gm modern stuff, so I don’t know if £30 is a fortune or not? There’s a number of other versions released at the same time, with booklets and bonus CDs and Dolby atmos mixes, but this is just the record. I think there’s a picture disc version for £35….
