As we get older our ability to balance diminishes and could be a sign of bad health or worse an early grave but don’t despair with regular balancing exercises this can help and even reverse it Stand on leg and see how long you can balance, do this daily until you can achieve 20 seconds or more, once you can achieve this do the same with your eyes closed for a long healthy life Dr Haynes
I sent this newspaper article to mate of mine recently. it stated that those who couldn't do it were at risk of dying within 10 years. he couldn't stand on one leg when 23 but has somehow managed to get to 53!!
Tune in tomorrow for my on line surgery where the subject will be erectile dysfunction, you’ll need an empty toilet roll holder, some KY and a pair of washing up gloves
Be honest, @Barry Haynes after reading the article, did you give it a try ....... ........I know that I did.
Standing on one leg to put wellingtons on is practically impossible for me without holding on to the bannister and standing up a rung. No chance with my eyes closed.
Impossible nowadays. Trying to put socks on in a tent sat on an airbed can very awkward and time consuming.
I did once stand on one leg for two and a half hours .... It was a slow day .... Does that mean I'll live to be 396?
You can take the council house boy out of his house but you can never take the council house out of the boy What time do I need to tune in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just go paddle boarding on a canal. The thought of falling off onto a old discarded rusty bike/shopping trolly/ dead rotting drug Lord under the water, will improve your balance no end.
In the spirit of Bazzers original post here’s one of my own health tips that works. If you have an irritating mouth ulcer chew on a fresh sage leaf until it’s mush, swallow the mush and your mouth ulcer wil be gone in the morning. Works every time for us!
