TLB guitar gurus: know what pedal he’s using in the beginning? Doing a lot of double-stopping, but there’s something else going on. Octaver?
An octaver will only work off a single note, not chords (afaik!). Just sounds like luscious (switch position 4) strat to me
You may well be right - on some passages, there are two (possibly three) of him. If you had to make a list of the most iconic objects created by Man, the Strat would be pretty near the top of the list IMHO. It's perfect in form and function, and impossible to improve on.
Been watching this beaut on the Bay of Fleas, low starting price and not many bids yet. It’s a hard tail. Not sure I need two Strats though…. Been sorely tempted to get a Tele at some point… hmmm decisions
Nah. Buy a Tele. A used one. It should be against the law to buy new instruments. They need a bit of history.
A Technics SL-5 linear tracking turntable from the glory days of vinyl, a recent 'barn find' Bloody thing has no right to sound this good, it's a bit splashy on the symbols, I think it's crying out for a new cart, but I'm truly flabbergasted, never had a linear before, zero tracking distortion. I shall have to do some research on the weirdo P-Type carts it uses, I think Grado do some nice ones. Seriously good karma moment finding this thing for the money Hailing from the CD era it's fully automatic, the perfect post-pub turntable :hic:, sadly I have killed a few carts over the years coming home a bit pished
Ha-ha, the other side is a disco song and fancy Rosy made "that" poster in the 70's, posing topless with a gorilla arm reaching out of a toilet and pulling her knickers down - it sold 3 Million copies, the most successful poster of all time - so the notes on the single claim, here's a redacted version. Exploiting/exploited or whatever, she still managed to make a pretty crazy record!
