^this. Do make certain you check continuity of all the connections before you switch on. Then re-check annually
You have got an RCD and a circuit breaker in the box for your mains stuff (or an RCBO, which is the two combined)?
I believe an RCBO - that rings a bell , as recommended by your good self or possibly @matty... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
They’re a neat solution now they’ve got cheaper . If it’s got something like a 16A rating on and a Test button, it’s an RCBO.
I've got one of those, it's a miniature size too, my consumer unit is tiny which is what you want in a tiny bus.
This was an unfinished set up I did about 7 years ago , not sure if this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Afternoon all. A question for the electrically minded peps on here. My system was all set up and working fine with the earth for the hook up attached to the body and the earth for the 12v switches attached separately to the body about a metre away. As I am doing some rearranging that means moving my 12v earth point, is it OK that the two earth's are attached at the same point. This would be convenient and as they are already both attached to the metal body, I can't think of a reason why not....but I seem to remember a post on the forum some time back saying it is better to keep them separate....Advice would be appreciated. Thanks PS...sorry if my terminology is wrong. PPS ...if anybody at TE is available to quickly look over this, that would be good.
Ah, didn't appreciate the DP. 2nd go! https://thomaselectricaldistributors.co.uk/product/fusebox-mini-rcbo-double-pole-type-a/
Strictly speaking, you shouldn't need an RCBO in your van for your mains hook-up. There should be one on the supply at the outlet you plug into, as long as the campsite is complying with the Regs.
Like they do in Forrin parts... I know nothing about mains electrickery other than it hertz... (baduum tsshhh) Belt and braces all the way , I also sleep on a rubber sheet but that's another matter ... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
